A STROLL TROUGH PULA
AUTHOR: Verónica Merino Rivero My erasmus destination was going to be a simple city in Croatia near the coast but I couldn’t even imagine how this city could surprise me. Firstly, because of the great richness of culture that I found just on the first walk. I came across with the Arch of the Sergii, this incredible monument is at the beginning of the pedestrian walkway. This well-preserved ancient structure seemed to whisper stories from Roman times, making me realize that every corner of this city held secrets and historical treasures waiting to be discovered. Every street seemed to have its own story to tell, a piece of history to share. Walking through the old city center I discovered the history of the city, until I reached the most awaited monument of Pula, the coliseum. I had seen photos before, but nothing could prepare me for the sense of awe I felt standing before it.
