MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF RIJEKA
AUTHOR: Ambre Tourniaire Rijeka, a port city in Croatia, made a strong first impression on me with the richness of its heritage and the diversity of its landscapes. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed a blend of architectural influences from the Austro-Hungarian period, which give the city a unique and authentic charm. During our visit to Rijeka, we explored the Clock Tower, one of the city's most iconic landmarks. With its bright yellow facade, baroque architecture, and large, visible clock, it immediately catches the eye. Built in the 18th century, this tower once served as the main gateway to the fortified city. After this visit, we continued our exploration by going to Glavanovo Beach. Less crowded and more secluded than other beaches in Rijeka, Glavanovo offers a peaceful environment, ideal for relaxing by the sea.
